Our made-to-measure shrink wrap covers are made from durable UV-stabilized polyethylene (PE/LDPE). The typical thickness is 150–200 µm, which provides a clean, rigid surface and excellent protection for winter storage and transport. The cover is heat-shrunk into place with heat treatment (heat gun/gas burner), tightening closely to the hull shapes without wrinkling or excess material.

How much does boat shrink wrapping cost?
The price depends on the size and model of the boat. Example prices for made-to-measure shrink wrap covers: Buster L €230.80, Targa 23.1 €351 and Axopar 28 €358.80. On-site shrink wrapping in the Helsinki Capital Region costs €45 per meter (VAT 0%) for console boats under 10 m. Ask for a quote for larger boats and group pricing for multiple boats.
What is a shrink wrap cover and how does it differ from traditional shrink wrapping?
A shrink wrap cover is a cover sized in advance to the boat's model or measurements. It is lifted over the boat and heat-shrunk tight. A traditional roll of shrink film weighs about 50 kg, is laborious to install and leaves a lot of offcuts. A ready-made cover means less plastic and faster installation.
What material are the shrink wrap covers made of?
The covers are made from durable UV-stabilized polyethylene (PE/LDPE) with a typical thickness of 150–200 µm. The cover keeps the boat clean and protects it from rain, ice and sea salt.
How long does it take to install a shrink wrap cover?
The cover is placed over the boat and shrunk with a heat gun or gas burner. For example, an Axopar 28 was wrapped by two people in 45 minutes.

Do you deliver across Finland, and is on-site installation available?
Shrink wrap covers are delivered across Finland. On-site shrink wrapping is available in the Helsinki Capital Region, and outside it for an additional fee.
Does a shrink-wrapped boat need ventilation during winter storage?
Yes. Ventilation vents and an inspection window are available as accessories for the cover. During winter storage, leave hatches and doors slightly open and make sure the shrink wrap has ventilation openings.
Can you shrink wrap things other than boats?
Yes. We also shrink wrap cars, industrial machinery and equipment, buildings and special items, either with a made-to-measure cover or on site.
